Microsoft has confirmed that its Xbox GamePass subscription service is available in Europe, but it will not be available to US customers until sometime in 2020.
Xbox’s game pass was originally announced back in February, but was only available in the US at the time.
Xbox Gamepass has since become the main way gamers get access to exclusive content, including Xbox games, with subscription-based plans ranging from $20 per month to $250 per month.
In its most recent quarterly earnings call, Microsoft revealed that the service had reached 200 million subscriptions.
That’s more than a third of Xbox’s Xbox Live subscriber base, and more than double the subscriber base for PS4, which has more than 3 million active users.
Microsoft also confirmed that the company is not planning to introduce a full-fledged paid subscription service for Xbox GamePlay at this time.
In fact, Microsoft said that it’s focused on developing games for the Xbox One’s dedicated gaming service, Xbox GameStream.
That service will allow Xbox users to connect to one another and play games on Xbox One without the need for an Xbox subscription.
Microsoft did not provide any further details about the service’s launch or pricing plans.
